RE: Audit and Finance, Interim Final Report
Dear Judge Gordon;
The Grand Jury has recommended that the Board of Supervisors require periodic updates from affected agencies in order to monitor the progress of corrective action.
In our experience the Auditor-Controller contacts affected agencies regarding the deficiencies and corrective actions. The outside auditor then reviews the corrective actions at the next audit. Board members receive copies of the outside audit. This should serve as the Board of Supervisor's progress report.
